AIGA Jacksonville invites you to our 9th annual Always Summer Poster Show + Mixtape. Each year the creative community gets together to celebrate Jacksonville's fierce design showmanship. Come enjoy some fresh drinks, sick beats, and mind-blowing design with your fellow creatives as you close out the last days of summer. We will showcase a wide array of posters created by local artists of their favorite summer songs. Come get your creative fix with amazing illustrations, typography, photography, and more!
This year will be handing out delicious, icy pops from our sponsor, The Hyppo while DJ Mowgli and DJ Lowkill spin a mix of songs compiled from the artists' poster selections. Art + drinks + music = a winning summer combination. Let's close out summer with a bang!

Artist Poster Submissions (18x24 or 24x36) - $10
This year we are providing the printing for your poster! The cost is $10 per matte poster — and you get free entry to the show. A steal, right? You are welcome to print your own if you prefer, but we are still requiring a $10 registration fee. Deadline to submit is 9/8 if you would like AIGA to print your poster.
Saturday - Poster Show (AIGA Member) - $15
No time to submit a poster, but want to check out the event? AIGA members get in for $15 on Saturday night. Folks who submit a poster get in for free.
Saturday - Poster Show (Non-Member) - $25
Not a member? No problem. Non-members get in for $25 on Saturday night. We hope to see you there!
- Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
Always Summer Poster Show + Mixtape is an all ages show. We require an ID for all guests so we can match it with your ticket order. Must be 21+ to drink. Please drink responsibly.
- Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Nope. Just bring your ID and we'll check you in at the door.
- Do I need to live in Jacksonville to make a poster?
Always Summer is open to all artists!
If you meet our September 8 deadline, we'll take care of your printing.
If you are printing on your own, you are responsible for delivery and return shipping. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
- How should I set up my file?
18" x 24" or 24" x 36" (if you're planning to print with us). Make sure the resolution is at least 300dpi and includes crop marks with a .125" bleed. Name your file accordingly.

- It says poster submissions only go up to 24x36* and can only print on paper. Why?
We highly encourage artists of all disciplines to create a work of art from their favorite summer song, no matter what the medium. Unfortunately, we are unable to hang any heavyweight objects or anything larger than 24x36. Feel free to take a picture of your wood burned, Lite-Brite, food-type lettering masterpiece and tell everyone about your process at the show!
*Your $10 fee will only cover 18x24 or 24x36 matte finish. You can print with a different printer, but we cannot accept a poster size any larger than 24x36.
- My file is all set. What's next?
Email your poster to email@example.com. Make sure you include your song in MP3 format (256 kbps preferred) so we can include it in our mixtape to play the night of the show.
- What if my file is too large to send in an email?
You can upload your file to Google Drive, Dropbox, or Hightail and share the link with us. Make sure you include your song.
- When is the deadline to submit my poster and song file?
Friday, September 8 by 9:00 am. Not 9:01 am, please. We need to send all files to the printer first thing Monday morning, and allow them time to print, cut, and send us the final prints.
Note: You do have the option to go with a different printer. You can drop off your poster between the hours of 6:00 – 8:00 pm at CORK North on Tuesday, September 19. Not 8:01 pm. I have to eat.
- Can I drop off my your poster off earlier?
Yes! Send firstname.lastname@example.org and we will set up a time for you to drop off your poster. Don't forget to email your MP3!
- Why do I need to submit my printed poster by September 19, if the show isn't until September 23?
We need time to lay out and organize all prints to make sure they look great in the space and hang the entire show.
- Is there a limit to how many posters I can submit?
The limit does not exist. Just submit a form for each poster and pay $10 per submission.
- Can I screenprint or hand-draw my poster?
Yes! Select the Artist Poster Submission and pay $10. You will be responsible for the production of your poster. Keep in mind the size and weight constraints previously mentioned above.
- Can I sell my poster?
Yes. Place your name, contact information, and price of the poster on the back of your poster. Artists are responsible for their own transactions.
