Higher Pixels, the team behind four successful SaaS products, is excited to announce our next live course; Ruby on Rails for Web Designers. The class will be held at the Higher Pixels office in Jacksonville, FL (close to San Marco).
Dates and Times:
- November 7th from 6:30-8:30 PM
- November 14th from 6:30-8:30 PM
- November 28th from 6:30-8:30 PM
- December 5th from 6:30-8:30 PM
Building an interface requires a flow of inputs and outputs – not just a series of static screens pasted together. As Ryan Singer from Basecamp stated, “You can’t truly evaluate an interface until you can use it, and you can’t use it until you build it.”
By the end of the course, you will be a more independent designer. You’ll be able to turn your design into a functional prototype and have a better understanding of the considerations programmers make when coding applications.
Do I need actual design skills to take this class?
Not at all. This class is also suitable for beginner programmers interested in learning more about Ruby on Rails.
What should I bring with me?
Please show up with a laptop (Mac or PC). Once you register, we’ll send you an email with the software we recommend you install prior to the first class. If you have any trouble installing anything, we’ll be happy to help at the first class.
Do I need to attend every class?
Each class builds upon the previous. If you’re only going to miss one, you’ll probably be fine. Any more than that and it’s probably best to sit this one out.
Are there any prerequisites?
We recommend a basic understanding of web applications, HTML, and CSS.
What’s the refund policy?
You can get a “no questions asked” full refund through October 31st. After that, if we’re not sold out, we’ll still give you a full refund.
How can I contact the organizer with any questions?
Feel free to drop us an email: firstname.lastname@example.org
