The Morning Leak’s Moving to New Broadway Square

Over the past year, meeting bright and early each second Wednesday of the month, we’ve seen The Morning Leak continue to grow and bring in new faces interested in sharing the creative morning kick off. Each month, five members of the creative community reserve a spot to come out and share one of their latest projects, talking about aspects such as process or client experiences.

Originally created to accommodate a venue for freelances to come together and discuss what they are working on, something often lost leaving the agency world, the event found a much broader crowd over time. Whether if be freelances, students or agency and in-house designers, The Morning Leak offers a place for creatives to get together in a social atmosphere and talk about the meat and potatoes of the field: the projects.

Given the popularity of this event our monthly meet up spot, Panera Bread at the St. John’s Town Center, didn’t seem to be an appropriate space anymore. It came time to find a new venue, one that would better accommodate the growing needs of the larger crowd.

Join us on Wednesday May, 11th @7:30 am at our new venue location, New Broadway Square located across the street from the Five Points Theatre in Five Points. (1049 Park Street, Jacksonville, FL 32204)

You won’t be able to miss the beautiful hand-painted windows and sunny interior space.

Owners Chrissy, Joyce, and Jean have created a welcoming new destination in 5 Points, serving cafe treats you won’t find anywhere else. In addition to favorites such as specialty coffees, teas, smoothies, and frozen yogurt, New Broadway Square also serves more exotic items like Japanese shaved ice, bubble tea, and a wide assortment of vegan and gluten free deserts and breakfast foods. Don’t miss the piano, antique tea cup collection, and Japanese toys up for sale either.

So rise and shine, early birds- because the owners have been kind and welcoming enough to open their doors early, just for us!

Expect hear from these creatives who have reserved a spot to present & talk for this month’s event:

Cait Armstrong
Varick Rosete
Ben Windsor
Paul Figura
Karen Kurycki
Katie Riffle

We hope you can swing by, check out the new space and come mix it up in the morning with others in the creative community next week at AIGA Jacksonville’s, The Morning Leak!
