Early yesterday morning designers and design enthusiasts alike resolved themselves to a morning of creative inspiration. This month at The Morning Leak we heard from a wide range of creative talent, here’s what they had to say.
In-House INitiative Committee member Meredith Hughs shared personal challenges working, as an in-house designer, and several tips on how to slip good design into conservative projects.
Next up, Varick Rosete presented CoWork Jax– a new kind of business in the heart of downtown Jacksonville that promotes an open collaborative environment for freelancers and entrepreneurs. He also showed his identity work on The Bungalow– another excellent co-working space on the beach side of town.
Eric Hinote walked us through his collaborative process for developing his poster for Viva Florida 500 – a contest celebrating the 500th anniversary of florida’s history. Voting is still going on so be sure to check out his work.
At last, Jim “four letter” Ward himself unveiled the I Love Design poster project. 12 designers, 6 guys & 6 girls have contributed an interpretation of love’s most ubiquitous symbol, the heart. Be sure to check out the blog in coming days as a new design will be posted in countdown to the I Love Design event on thursday.
As always, if you missed out this week be sure to join us next month for another inspirational gathering at The Morning Leak! If you’d like to share a project, contact us at membership@aigajacksonville.org to reserve your slot. See you next month!
