RECAP: Bags in Toyland

Teaming up with with local tote aficionados Burro Bags, AIGA Jacksonville took last year’s inaugural “Designers in Toyland” show up a notch, creating a twinkling wonderland of one-of-a-kind creations ranging from Munny dolls to messenger bags. More than 80 local and national designers participated in the show, meticulously crafting custom toys and sacks that rivaled any North Pole import.

Artists, do-gooders, and holiday shoppers browsed handmade wares while sipping delicious beer from Intuition Ale. DJ Squints and Urban Jacksonville filled the air with the freshest beats of the season. True to the holiday spirit, artists graciously parted with their custom creations, donating a portion or even all of the sale proceeds to AIGA Jacksonville’s Discover Design mentoring program to help local high school students. Afterwards, creatives took the party to Club TSI, who granted free entry to those who attended the show.

A huge thank you to all the artists, volunteers, sponsors, shoppers, and everyone who made this event such a huge success!
