Only One Can Be King(Pin)

It was a battle for the ages. The atmosphere…intense. The competition…fierce. Picture, if you will, a large group of graphic designers in one room, each giving their all to let everyone else know that they are the best at what they do. Creating the right approach was key, and whether it was a straightforward or something with a little spin on it, never had anyone been witness to such intense creativity since…well, last year. That’s right, everyone…

Welcome to the 2nd Annual AIGA Jacksonville Cocktails & Creatives Bowling Night!!!

Last night, AIGA Jacksonville hosted its second Cocktails & Creatives Bowling Night at Beach Bowl, and simply put, it was very successful. A total of over 50 people showed up, and AIGA basically took over seven lanes of the bowling alley for some good old-fashioned fun – $10 for three hours of unlimited bowling and $5 pitchers! Teams were chosen at random, and it was great to see people both catching up with old friends and meeting new ones. The only thing that made the night even better were the games themselves. From AI Jax’s Team VIPER (hisssssssss!) to Team #1’s “Superman” bowling style to several bowlers hitting turkeys throughout the night, you could not find a dull game anywhere. Competition was high, all for the coveted treasures: Various design books and the limited edition AIGA Jacksonville T-Shirts!

Alas, the night had to end and with the sounds of Cosmic Bowling hitting the air, AIGA was able to boast of yet another successful C&C; however, there could only be one victor (or in this case two). So congratulations go out to Elisabeth Lee and Scott Gregory for their individual high scores of 159, and congratulations to Team Six for the highest team average of 113.4.

As always, a big thanks goes out to everyone who came and supported throughout the night. We had an amazing time, and hope to see you at the next C&C!
