Hulkamania & Design: with Dan Mall

Having grown up here in Jacksonville, I’ve seen this city go through a lot of change. I’ve seen it stretch and grow, move forward and sometimes backwards. But over the past five years, I’ve really seen Jacksonville start to show the beginnings of the greatness that is our future. With things like AIGA, OneSpark, TEDx, CoWork Jax, and CoRK—among countless others—we are finally starting to build the kind of community that we’re all excited to be a part of. We’re starting to put Jacksonville on the national playing field and people are taking notice.

It’s this kind of attention (along with the generous support of our title sponsor, Modis) that make it possible for us to welcome for the first time to Jacksonville, the illustrious Dan Mall. Join us next Thursday, Nov. 15th, as Dan—award-winning designer, art director, entrepreneur, and all-round amazing guy—talks about Hulkamania and design, and how the massive, mustached, wrestling marvel taught us more about design than we know.

Dan Mall has a passion for playing matchmaker between surprising art direction and intuitive interaction design, and he’s worked with some of the biggest and best names in the business and tech worlds. In addition to his work, Dan takes pride in his ability to articulate and communicate ideas. From writing in notable publications like A List Apart and .NET Magazine, to speaking at conferences like SXSW and The Future of Web Design, to teaching at the School of Visual Arts, Dan Mall is pretty much an all-star design ninja with lots of knowledge to impart. So don’t miss this amazing opportunity to spend an evening with one of the coolest people in the industry, and learn something while you’re at it.

The evening will take place at Everbank Center and start at 6:00 PM with a cocktail hour and catering provided by Character Counts! in Jacksonville. Dan Mall will take the stage at 7:00 PM for his talk: Hulkamania & Design.

Register online now to save: $20 for members, $30 for non-members, and $15 for students. (Prices will be $10 higher at the door)
