Proper Press Required

11pt or 12pt kerning? Helvetica or Trade Gothic? TV dinner or Larry’s? Just a few of the many decisions creatives have to make on a daily basis. But some questions that never crossed those imaginative minds were: tuxedo or t-shirt? Stilettos or sandals? Up-do or stinky dreadlocks? Why? Because “come-one-come-all,” “come as you are” creatives colored the night, and we never leave the skinny jeans at home.
It was Cocktails & Creatives at La Nopalera Morton’s the Steakhouse!
October 8th, AIGA Jacksonville hosted Cocktails & Creatives’ at Morton’s the Steakhouse. It was a warm and intimate gathering complete with personal cocktail servers, a private room, a plentiful fruit and cheese tray, and platter after platter of complementary chicken goujonettes and filet mignon sandwiches⎯all donated by Morton’s! In addition, top class drink and appetizer specials were served (literally) on silver platters. Included were $4 draft beers, $5 wine by the glass, $6 spritzs and $7 Mortinis, mojitos and many other mixed drinks. Creatives from all across Jacksonville sipped, schmoozed and savored the swanky atmosphere.
Attendees also had the chance to enter a drawing for three prizes simply by playing a game. Congratulations to Lena Mullaney (she promised to make something tasty out of her new Morton’s Cookbook), Katy Garrison (who can be hit up for dinner, complements of a $50 Morton’s gift card) andJessi Burton (the lucky winner of the coveted $100 Morton’s gift card)!
As always, a big thank you to everyone who came out to Morton’s (even though there were no tequila shots or chips and salsa) and for supporting AIGA. Thanks for making the night one to remember!
If you took any pictures of all the fun, post em’ here with our group!
