If you are a designer, then you might have heard of Veer; the online company that provides a reliable and affordable selection of creative stock photography, stock illustrations, fonts, and creative merchandise. This past month, Veer sponsored a rebound tournament for the design/illustration online community on Dribbble.
“Dribbble is show and tell for designers, developers and other creatives. Share sneak peeks of you work as ‘shots’ — small screenshots of the designs and applications you’re working on.”
The site has a tastefully presented basketball theme, and, in one of the featured applications of the site, people can respond with a follow-up, or rebound, off their own shot or even play off the shots of others. In the Veer Rebound Playoff there were 105 rebounds entered for a chance to place in the top ten, and be rewarded with some Veer swag.

AIGA Jacksonville Vice President, Karen Kurycki rebounded with a vibrantly colorful, skillfully precise and signature watercolor style interpretation of the initial three B’s from Alejandro Paul’s swashy, sporty Fan Script. Having 1,059 views, Karen’s entry caught the eye of the crowd within the masses receiving a place in the top 10 of the competition. Big congrats to Karen for her outstanding interpretation in the tournament, representing the AIGA and Jacksonville! See the top ten entries here.
