Irma Motta is currently an illustrator for an engineering & logistics company. While poster design is not a media she typically works in, she enjoyed participating in the Always Summer Poster Show in 2010 and 2011. Irma created a poster about the song, “Wolf Like Me” by TV on the Radio.

“I mainly chose that song because it’s one of my favorite songs and because it always reminds me of what being young feels like. I also thought the song would be fun to translate into a printed form.”

“I started by doing some research on the kind of imagery the band used for their posters and on how other people interpreted the song. I then made sketches of wolves in different scenarios since a central theme in the song is about ‘transformation’ and like in the video for the song I wanted to use the werewolf as the symbol for that.”

“It sounded like fun and thought ‘why not.’ I have made a poster before, this was my second time participating.”
