A Grand Celebration – ADDY Style

The Jacksonville creative community came out in style to celebrate the 2012 ADDY Awards and Un-Masquerade Gala. With the majority of attendees decked out in masked costume, and recognizing that the event had been promoted as a night of mystery and intrigue, this fanciful evening lived up to expectations (the all-you-can-drink, fully stocked bar contributed nicely to the festive nature of the evening).

When it came time for the awards, a few agencies and design studios stood out above the rest, collecting a significant number of trophies. Our local universities did a great job too, snatching up a tidy bundle of the coveted trophies. Kudos to the University of North Florida and Flagler College for their student awards.

One of the proud highlights was the unmasking of the “Best of Show – Student” award, which included a $1,000 check. This prize was won by AIGA Jacksonville’s Student Liaison volunteer – Andy Gattis. Well done Andy!

For those of you who did not enter or attend, you missed out on a great opportunity for creative recognition as well as an opportunity to meet, hob-nob and party with some of Jacksonville’s creative elite.

By the time the cupcakes were gone, the bar was closed and the dance floor had emptied, it was clear that a great time was had by all.

Congratulations to all of the 2012 ADDY winners!
