Design Team… Assemble!

AIGA Jacksonville has been hard at work planning inspirational design-speaker events, organizing professional development programming and providing opportunities for designers to collaborate and connect with the community. But, with your help, there’s still so much more we can do! We’re currently seeking out nominations for design advocates, professionals, students, thought leaders and visionaries to support, inspire and guide our initiatives.

Areas you can volunteer:

Membership
Do you love helping people and making them feel welcome? You’d probably be a perfect fit on our membership team. Membership seeks to inspire and support other local designers who, like yourself, are eager to get involved.

Education
Is your list of tutorials ever growing? Feel like you could talk about the benefits of design all day? If so, you may feel right at home supporting our education team as they connect with local universities, schools and students to help mentor the future of design.

Programming
Do you love it when a plan comes together? Lend a hand to the programming team as they organize chapter events, schedule design speakers, booking venues, coordinate volunteers and herd cats.

Communications
Are you a storyteller? Are you always on the lookout for the next insightful design article? Then you might be a perfect fit on the communications team as they convey AIGA’s mission and message by sharing inspiring content, strategizing promotional campaigns and yes, also herding some cats.

Business
Do you wear a suit and tie? No? We don’t blame you—sounds uncomfortable (we’re volunteers after all). But, if you’re excited to connect with businesses and organizations, help our community outreach team secure sponsors and facilitate partnerships.

If any of that sounds interesting, let us know by filling out our questionnaire! Once you do, our nominating committee will contact you with more information and a chance to ask any questions you may have.

Filling out this questionnaire doesn’t commit you to anything, so no pressure. Keep in mind, you can nominate yourself or someone else you think would make a great candidate (although you probably want to let them know first). We’ll only use the information you provide to contact you in regards to your nomination.
